introducing quick archive for Gmail messages
September 30, 2009
We’ve heard a lot of requests for a quicker way to archive Gmail messages in threadsy, so we just added it!
Now when you hover over any Gmail message in your Inbound message list, you’ll see a new icon for quick archive next to the quick reply and quick delete actions. With just one click, quick archive will archive the message both in threadsy and Gmail.

Note that you can also archive a Gmail message by opening it and clicking the archive button at the bottom of the message.
Other archive ideas – what do you think?
We’re considering adding a bulk archive action that you can use with the checkboxes to archive many messages at once. Would this be something that you’d use? Would you want to archive other things besides your Gmail messages, such as Yahoo messages or Twitter direct messages or @mentions?
Please leave your thoughts here in our feedback forum.

I’d like to archive to a label, please. Labels in general would solve a number of my problems with Threadsy.

how about a marked as read button for each individual post? and send & archive like google labs? i’m going off the top of my head, but looking into some of the stuff google labs has might give you guys a clue into what functionalities make gmail better than the rest, and those are the ones you should incorporate!
I love threadsy!

nice new feature.
somewhat related, i would love to have a label feature as well. especially if you could then label tweets and facebook messages.
right now when i see something on twitter/FB that I’d like to keep reference to I email it to myself and label it on gmail… so a cross-service labeling mechanism would be really useful for me.

I’d also like to be able to mark things as Spam. I do love to train machine learning algorithms for the side of Good. However, I realize that:
1. The Gmail API may not support that.
2. I’m a freak.
