email improvements: move to folder & better buttons

We just released a batch of changes to improve the email experience in threadsy.
Better email action buttons
Based on your feedback, we’ve revised the email action buttons to make them easier to find. Now when you open an email message, you’ll see the action buttons at both the top and bottom of the message. For now, you’ll only see the ‘Archive’ action for Gmail messages. ‘Print’ and ‘Favorite’ are tucked out of the way in a more dropdown since you probably won’t use them as much.

Move messages to your email folders
Now you can move messages out of your Inbound and into any custom email folders you’ve created on the source services; Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, AOL, and MobileMe are supported. Note that we’re using the term ‘folders’ here also for Gmail’s ‘labels’. This is our first step in supporting custom email folders in threadsy, expect deeper support soon.

I love the improvement on reading and replying to emails. I don’t like the new message configuration. You can’t read what you write in the subject window after a few words. The Message box is ridiculously small. Still I think Threadsy is Awesome, they just need to Make the message box and subject line larger. Most of us love a full view of what we type.

Revising the new message compose experience is on our list of things to change. Would you mind sending a screenshot of what the new message compose view looks like to you on your screen to feedback@threadsy.com. Also, what browser are you using?

After only a few hours, I am loving threadsy. One issue regarding the labels that I’m having is that only some of my labels from Gmail transferred over to threadsy. I can only see labels up to the O’s in the list to archive.

I assume you have a lot of labels? There should be a scrollbar to see the other ones… sounds like it’s not there. What browser are you using?

I have approximately 30 labels and 18 were carried over. There is no scrollbar visible. I’m using Chrome 4.0.295.0.

hmm, my labels don’t seem to be showing up. could it be because i’ve got google labs features enabled that affect them?

Possibly… we haven’t experienced a conflict with the Google Labs features we’re using. What features do you have enabled related to labels?
Thx.

I just joined Threadsy today, and it looks like the start of what I need, except for email.
I do not see the “move to folder” drop down, and I’ve been looking. Seems that according to your feedback site, others have posted they are not seeing the option either, with no response from the dev team.
I’d love any help you can provide.
Thank you.

The ‘move to’ dropdown is shown when you open a message in Inbound. The dropdown should have all of the custom folders or labels for your that email account. Please refer to the blog post for specifics on what services are supported. If you’re not seeing this, it could be a bug. I can’t find it mentioned in our feedback forum (http://getsatisfaction.com), if you saw it in a topic there can you please vote for it? Thanks for your help.

This is the one thing I feel like Threadsy is really missing; native folders to organize emails. I would like to be able to create whatever kind of tabs I want above and move things around perhaps by drag and drop. The folders are the main thing though, I don’t want to use my gmail labels. I only use gmail to store email copy backups anyway. Great service though.
